Namo Namo

The biggest democracy in the world, India is in a very high voltage state. Elections are happening in various states and at the end, it will decide if Mr. Modi, the current PM stays or has to step aside to give way to the other party which gets the highest majority. The elections in Mumbai were held yesterday and I checked with my parents and some of the friends if they had gone to vote. I could hear an enthusiastic yes from everyone. Sitting here in Germany, I could feel the excitement and tension in the air and I am really looking forward to the day when the votes will be counted and the results will be announced.

The past 5 years have seen a lot of progress in remote villages. The common, middle-class man has also been benefitted by it, where the prices of basic food items have not seen sky-rocketed like it was the case, some 5-6 years back. The development has taken at a micro-level and there has definitely been an increase in the GDP and overall image of India in front of the world. The PM has an aura of his own and he is tirelessly working towards providing every citizen of India, the basic rights and expects to do his duties too. He is very particular about working hard and achieving something rather than getting it in a platter. He has started many schemes for the girl child and has encouraged the people in villages to open bank accounts so that there is less of black money and corruption.

He works for about 18-20 hours daily. He doesn't have any family. He has dedicated his life to the country entirely. The officials who work with him are in so much awe of him that they are also working long hours with him. How can they go home if the boss is still working? He has done a lot of trips abroad and he spends his time in the flight on working. He catches up on sleep for just about 3-4 hours. He is fit and fine and doesn't have any age-related diseases until now. He never looks tired and is a great orator. He speaks excellent Hindi and Gujarati is his mother-tongue. He has addressed the Indian diaspora all over the world, whenever he was visited different countries in Hindi mostly. And it's always a pleasure to hear him.

People in India are very emotional when it comes to Power and Parties. They lose their senses and vote for the wrong people and the wrong party without giving it a thought. Many people just avoid voting altogether due to the apathy of people in general towards Politics. But from the time, Mr. Modi has come to power, there is a lot of awareness and the people are coming to realize their responsibility towards electing a good representative who helps them lead a better life.

I am keeping my fingers crossed and would love to see Mr. Modi back to power along with his loyal troupe.

Jai Hind!

The dilemma

My mother-in-law left for Pune today after spending two and a half months with us in Germany. And suddenly the house seems empty without her...
