Wedding anniversary

30th June 2006 and 30th June 2014.

What has changed and what has not?

We, once carefree individuals have become more grounded, no wonder why, because now we have the most important person in our lives, our 2 year old son.

We overlook each other's shortcomings and tend to focus on the good aspects of the personalities.

We praise and appreciate each other's efforts in running the household.

We go shopping, holidaying without much 'agree to disagree moments'.

We often tease each other on finding a 'better' spouse, but then realize that this was the best that even God could think of and hence we have to respect his decision lol

We are hopeless when it comes to expressing love formally as in 'I love you'. We tend to show it in our actions, e.g. me cooking a novice dish for him and he appreciating it though it has turned out to be a bad dish.

We give space to each other. He goes to watch football matches with his friends and I go to meet my friends alone.

Though we talk less, we know each other's value and place in our lives. It is irreplaceable and the most precious relationship we ever have. The trust in each other is surmountable.

So, here's wishing each other a very happy wedding anniversary and many more to celebrate together!

Amen!
