The Similie

On my 3 week trip to India, I couldn't help but notice the different buildings in the 3 cities that I visited. Pune, Bangalore, and Mumbai are different cities with different vibrancy, yet they all are so similar. Similar because of the people, the inhabitants there. A few random thoughts that came to my mind about the people living in houses, apartments, and buildings! Have tried to create a parallel world of people with the homes they live in!

Till the eyes can see, there are just blocks of houses arranged on top of one another.  Some are small, some reach the sky. Some are beautiful, and some just smile.

I wonder what happens in each of these matchbox looking houses. What stories do they have? What colors do the walls soak in? What cooks in there, and what brings the walls apart?

Every house has its own struggle, to survive, to live, to excel, to be happy. Every home has its own share of happiness and sorrow. Every house thinks it is unique, and every house thinks the world revolves because of it!

Houses rise and fall, come and go, become old after they are new, are sometimes lost and found.

There is chaos everywhere. There is always a high noise, There is unrest and, sometimes there is a hurry, an urge to do something right, which doesn't always translate right, but this is after all "the life"!

The dilemma

My mother-in-law left for Pune today after spending two and a half months with us in Germany. And suddenly the house seems empty without her...
